Can color exist without light?

I spent most of the 2020 at home and I thought that it would result in a lot more reading than usual (~12 books a year).  I was wrong but not entirely, I read 14 books last year:)  2020 Books  Following are some random and interesting excerpts:  1. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement which takes hours. Trikebana is my art of doing the same in minutes. Of course, the result is not a beautiful and thoughtful arrangement but something nice to look at. Trikebana is possible because flowers are inherently beautiful.  Trikebana

Art that is not challenging the status quo of something is merely entertainment, propaganda, or stimulation. 

Art imagines. 

One of my goals every year is to read 10-12 books. In 2019, I re-read two books which I had read over a decade ago. Surprisingly, it felt like that I was reading them for the first time. Another new thing I did last year was to give up on the books after the first chapter if they did not keep my interest.  Following are a few brief excerpts from the books 12 books I read last year:  1. Things you want to see tend to become more visible. 

I have been fascinated with art for the last twenty years. As part of TED 2019, I gave a workshop at the Vancouver Art Gallery on "The Art Of Viewing Art."
